Terminal Server 2008 Printing RRS feed

  • Question

  • Users connecting to a terminal server 2008 are all having problems printing.  The Terminal Server is 64bit.  The clients are all 32 bit XP SP3.  RDC6.1.  I can see the default printer on the client is loading into a TS port and from the client side, it seems to print.  There are no event logs on client or server.  But nothing prints.  I've enable TS GP to use Easy Print first.  Help.  This is driving me nuts.  I never had so many problems on 2000 or 2003, and they are a lot more difficult to configure.  I must be messing something up.

    TIA, Jon

  • Have you installed the .NET component on the client? It requires at least Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 1 (SP1).

    • Windows XP with Service Pack 3 includes RDC 6.1. However, you must install a supported version of .NET Framework separately. You can download Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 (which includes .NET Framework 3.0 SP1) from the Microsoft Download Center (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=109422 ).

    Hope that helps,
