What did you see in the place of the contact picture in incoming emails?
Please first check if you have the option enabled to show contact photo in Outlook. To verify this, go to File > Options > People, in the "Online status and photographs" section, make sure the "Show user photographs when available (requires
restarting Outlook)" option is enabled. If not, enable it and restart Outlook to see the result.
