Installed software for Omron BP791IT now connection center doesn't see Omron HJ720IT pedometer. RRS feed

  • Question

  • The title pretty much sums it up. Either device works fine seperately in the connection center. But when I have one of the devices installed and try to add the other one, the connection center doesn't see it. If I add the device manually then the connection center doesn't see that device when I try to upload my data. I'm using windows 8. Any suggestions?

  • I have not been able to locate the BP791IT driver.

I would appreciate your pointing me to the correct location for downloading the driver.

    Thanks.

  • Driver at:

http://omronhealthcare.com/service-and-support/connected-health/ (HealthVault section lower on the page)

Piece of crap though, have not been able to make it work so far. Device connects but does not upload data to computer.

  • Hello Razvan, my name is Josh with the HealthVault support team.

We're genuinely sorry you're having such issues with your Omron device(s) and you've obviously done some research on this issue and found the driver page on the Omron sight.  We'd like to know if you've also contacted Omron support directly, and if so, what they may have done to help you with your situation?

As Tom has stated above, if you haven't already contacted Omron directly, please feel free to start a customer service ticket with HealthVault at http://support.microsoft.com/ph/15242/en-us and if you'd like us to contact Omron on your behalf, please state in your ticket that you give us permission to communicate with Omron, and we'll have Omron contact you directly.

Thank you for your time Razvan.

  • My experience the same.  Can connect to Win 8 PC but does not provide option to upload data from BP monitor.  In addition, it recognizes the BP unit as a long-ago discarded Nokia phone model of mine for which I have remaining software on my PC.  I also noted that the download is a Win7 exe file, but it says Windows 8 compatible on the HealthVault site.  Sounds fishy to me.  Makes the BP cuff really a waste of money since the computer interface software was why I bought it.  Typical electronic device experience, if you ask me.
