Reactivating a MAK client RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi all,

how do you re-activate a MAK client, after rebuilding it, without using up another activation from the MAK key if you originally activated it using slmgr.vbs (ie slmgr.vbs /ipk <MultipleActivationKey> and then slmgr.vbs /ato to install the key)?

    thanks

  • Hello Warden976,

If you activated using /IPK with the MAK key, you will use another activation when you activate that machine again.

The MAK key has additional activations over the amount in the volume license agreement to account for some reinstallation and replacement machine.  If the MAK key has used all it's activations, you may need to call to get more activations added to it.
