  • Hi

    Is it possible to perform Inplace upgrade from SCCM 2012 SP1 CU3 to 1610/1702 ?

    Operating system : Windows 2012 R2

    Database : SQL 2012 Standard SP1.

    No. You upgrade first to 1606 with the Baseline ISO and then to 1702 with the in-Console Upgrade.

    Baseline 1606 support ends by this month.

    I have also checked other MS link https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sccm/core/plan-design/changes/whats-new-in-version-1702 

    1702 is consider as the Baseline, so bit confused which version to consider as the Baseline

  • Yes, you can go directly to 1702 from 2012 R2 as 1702 is a baseline build.

    My environment current running on SCCM 2012 SP1 look like I can directly migrate to 1702.
