How to distribute OS images on Windows 7 DPs RRS feed

    Hello there,

    we are introducing SCCM 2012 to our company. While sizing our environment, we decided to put a distribution point at every branch office (nearly seventy). Due to historical reasons,  there must not be "servers" at the branch office. So we chose Windows 7 as the DP operating system. To offer PXE OS installation we are planning to setup TFTPD32 (which works well). Now we have one big question:

    Is it possible to distribute our OS images with SCCM although we have no server OS with the DPs?

    Hi,

    Yes, as soon as the client computer has loaded the WinPE image it will Contact the MP and it will return wich DP the client will find the OS Image on, It will work just fine.

    Sorry, you misunderstood me, I did not express myself exactly.

    We want to deploy new OS images from the primary site to all DPs (with the help of SCCM). But as there (on the DPs) is no WDS present, I don't know, if this works fine.
