Multiple SMTP Address - Single mailbox RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hiya,

We have a single mailbox called Leavers that has all the SMTP addresses of ex-staff bound to it. We then have and OOF set on this mailbox that bounces back saying the mailbox is no longer valid.

This in itself is all working OK, however the person that is monitoring the Leavers mailbox cannot identify who the mail was actually sent to, as the To filed in Outlook shows Leavers as this is both the display name and alias of the mailbox.

I need it to show the address that the message was actually sent to, so how is this done without having to check the headers of each message that comes in.

    Thanks

  • Which version of Exchange? Third party tool below. I slightly recall a long time ago there was a free tool somewhere that displayed the sent to in the outlook toolbar but can't recollect.

    WhichAddress for MS Exchange 2000/2003

  • Hi, sorry forgot I was posting in the general clients forum of Exchange and not the Exchange 2010 forum, as that's what we're using.

    Thanks

  • Hi
Maybe 3rd party tool can meet your need. Microsoft doesn’t offer this function.
