Connectivity between xp mode machine and windows 7 host RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi guys,

I have Windows 7 m/c and xpmode vm installed on it.

I have hosted a application on IIS in XPmode.I can access this application in browser from my xpmode VM.

I would like to access that same application in the browser(via URL) from windows 7 m/c.I tried using IP and hostname of xpmode vm,but couldn't.

Network settings in xpmode m/c is NAT.

    Can someone help on this.

  • Switch your XP Mode's network options from NAT to using the host NIC.  the host can't connect to a VM via the NAT connection.

Also, there is a forum for Windows VPC/XP Mode:

You'll get a lot more traffic for your future questions there.

  •  Hi smjain,

The networking option is NAT in my xp mode settings.

The other options available in the network settings are

    2.Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter

3..Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter #2

    4.Realtek PCIe GBE Familyy Controller

    5.Intel WiFi Link 1000 BGN

Could you pls help me on which one should I configure..

Pls let me know,if I am missing something here.

  • You should select whichever of these network cards is plugged in/connected to your network:

    4.Realtek PCIe GBE Familyy Controller

    5.Intel WiFi Link 1000 BGN
