Unable to configure Web Application Proxy in Windows Server 2012 R2 RRS feed

  • I am getting the below error while trying to configure Web application proxy in a windows server 2012 R2 instance. Both the WAP server and ADFS server are running in the same Azure region and network.

  • Make sure you run PowerShell as administrator and that the account details you provide are local administrator in all the ADFS-servers in the farm you are trying to configure the proxy against.

  • The easiest way is to add your domain credentials as local Administrator on all AD FS Backend Servers. then when prompted for credentials enter domainName\userID and you should be good.
