Seamless Window on Mac OS X RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

    We are having a problem with MAC OS X clients not running a seamless window when launching a RemoteApp. Here is our setup;

    4 Cluster RemoteApp running on Server 2012

    Pulse Secure MAG 2600 for VPN Access

    RSA for 2FA from the MAG

    The problem we are having is when launching the RemoteApp from within out Pulse Secure VPN, the RemoteApp launches, however it goes straight to the desktop and does not launch the app in a seamless window. So what happens is the user goes to the desktop and none of the apps that they need are on the desktop as the server is locked down and the shortcuts are not visible. When running the same from a Windows client, the seamless app runs without any problems. Does anyone know if this is an issue with the MAC OS or a configuration issue on either the MAG or the Terminal Server? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Gavin

  • Hi,

    If you are not using Microsoft's Remote Desktop client for Mac (latest or Beta version) then I recommend you contact the manufacturer of the client and verify that the client supports RemoteApps.

  • Hi Gavin,

    Are you using the Microsoft Remote Desktop client from the Mac app store?

  • No, the RDP client is installed from the Pulse Secure MAG. We do not publish our RemoteApp farm to the internet. The only way they access the farm is through the Pulse Secure VPN. Once the user has authenticated through the VPN, they then get a list of the RemoteApps. They then click on the link and the remoteapp is launched. I am thinking that the problem may be related to the Pulse Secure RDP Client.
