Microsoft says that direct x 12 is backwards compatible.
Howewer it is not and in direct x 7 mode it causes trouble.
I wish microsoft can fix few bugs here im realy big fan of old game like the others.
This game is stil played by 100-500 people everyday in multiplayer.
Game have multiple multiplayer lobies each of them usualy fan made.
