how many child domain we can connecte to a parent domain ?2008 RRS feed

  • hello sir

                   actually we have seven branches so i need to joine all in  domain model so i want to know how many child we can connect in the model  in the senirio of rodc model in each branch we have 100 users  kindely help me

    why child domains? I don't see a need for child domains here.

    You can just:

    • Two DC/DNS/GC servers at the head office
    • One RODC with enabled password caching in each branch office. Install DNS service on each RODC and your zones will be replicated but they will be read-only ones

    That will ensure the high-availibility of AD/DNS services and reduce the risk of losing your domain.
