Setting up Voice VLAN [Cisco & Lync] RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

We are planning to set up a dedicated voice VLAN for our Lync IP Phones. Our current infrastructure is:

    - Lync Standard Edition.
    - Cisco 3750 PoE Switches.  (Data VLAN 10)
    - Windows DHCP servers.

This is what I am planning to do

    - On Cisco switch

        * Create a new VLAN for Voice (lets say VLAN 20)
         * configure all the ports for voice and data access.

    - On DHCP Servers
        * Configure as per the steps outlined here

Will this enable the phones to get IP address from VLAN 20, or is there something else we need to configure.

Any help/ suggestions/ ideas are much appreciated.
