Project Hiding Tasks RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm creating a project in Professional 2010 version on my desktop.  I'm using a mix of auto and manually scheduled tasks.  At times when I insert a task, Project is hiding lines and I can't figure out how to re-open those lines.  I think most of them are auto scheduled tasks, but can't tell for sure until I can reopen those lines.  I've tried entire project and selected tasks in the view section, but that's not doing it.  I'll bet this is easy, but I don't know what it is.

It sounds like you have a Filter set.  check the View tab in the ribbon under the Data section.

  • Checked that, no filter.  I didn't think I had done that.  I'm really just entering and editing the tasks in this new plan.  I haven't done anything fancy yet.

  • Have you got the latest SP1 and any cumulative updates installed?

  • I did a Clear the filter (even though none was set), and that brought my tasks back.  So I think I'm ok.  Thanks for your help.  I will also check the updates to make sure I'm up to date.

    Thanks, Deb
