Vista 64 Audio Failure. Code 10. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi folks, I've seen a lot of threads on this and havn't found a solution that works for my unit.

I have a GA-8I915G - Duo MoBo, with on board sound. I have Vista Ultimate 64bit, and it is telling me that the device cannot start.I used to run Vista Ultimate 32 bit a year ago and the sound worked fine.

Vista is telling me that the driver is up to date, but I still don't have sound.

I hope someone out there can help me.

  • Hi Vince,

I did a check on GIGABYTE official website. It seems GIGABYTE doesn’t offer GA-8I915G Duo Motherboard audio driver for Windows Vista. (http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/Driver_Model.aspx?ProductID=1856).

Please understand that it is hardware manufacturers’ responsibility to develop and offer driver for their hardware devices to work with Windows Vista. Given the situation, I suggest you contact GIGABYTE support to ask for driver.

    Hope it helps.
