Cannot download publishprofile - broken link https://windows.azure.com/download/publishprofile.aspx RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have many scripts that point to https://windows.azure.com/download/publishprofile.aspx/. The link worked as of 7/21. I'm an MCT, and this is for a class that I'm teaching at this time. I cannot have EVERY student perform EVERY task manually that is performed at the start of EVERY lab! Please help me with this link to download the publish profile! Thank you in advance.

  • hi Michael,

    Thanks for your feedback.

I suggest you could try those steps:

    1.logon in Azure portal

    2.try this link:

    https://manage.windowsazure.com/publishsettings/

The other approach is you can use the powershell:

    Get-AzurePublishSettingsFile

    Regards,

    Will

  • That link works wonderfully! The PowerShell solution is not appropriate in this unusual situation. Tell me, how did you discover that updated link? Is there a way to navigate to that destination in the portal, because I couldn’t find it? Is there a way I could have been notified of this breaking change in advance? Thank you for your help.
