Where has the System Center Management Pack for Windows Server Operating System gone? RRS feed

  • Question

  • All links to the Server OS MP are dead - http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=9296 just shows:

We are sorry, the page that you requested cannot be found.

This is the link from Pinpoint, various MS TechNet articles etc. so its definitely the right one.

If it is being updated to support 2012 R2, cool, but could we still retain access to current versions while the new one is being published please

  • http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=9296  is now working again, I've been able to import successfully.  Side note, downloading the Windows 2000 via the SCOM management console is still failing.

    Thanks,

    Deepak

  • I have wondered the exact same thing.  I can get to every MP download except this one.

  • Seems to me they are preparing for tomorrow's release of windows server and scom 2012 r2

Edit: you can't download directly in your management group either.

  • I have the same problem. All bing-able and googl-able articles related to this pack have links to this "9296" id in download center but its not available. It seems that neither operations guide nor the pack itself can be downloaded now from anywhere

  • I too have been trying to get this for a few days.   I hope Rob is correct, and this MP will be available tomorrow...

    Thanks,

    Deepak

  • Same problem here. It's a bit unfortunate they took down the old management pack prior to releasing the new version.

I just installed SCOM 2012 R2 in my lab and I can't install a few management packs because they all depend on Microsoft.Windows.Server.Library.mp.

I guess all we can do is wait and hope they release it soon...
