  • Question

  • My Office Users Windows 7 64bit laptops  (2 laptops)has crashed last week in a similar way.

Laptop suddenly turned off and went to repair mode. After the auto repair the domain profile has been corrupted and unable to login.

when i logged with local account i saw that all the application has wiped off and windows asking for activate.

Luckily i copied user data from c:\users\ desktop.  documents, pictures, videos etc...

anybody can advise how to prevent this type of crash, also advise best method to recover the profile back after this kind of crash.

  • Hi Rajesh,

    Thank you for your question

Are there any updates on 2 Laptops (or new installed software)?

Are there any errors in application log?

We could do the following steps for troubleshooting:

    1. Rebuild the Windows profile
    2. Update Windows and drivers to the lasted
    3. Do a clean boot by the following link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929135
    4. Scan the PC by the following link: http://blogs.microsoft.com/cybertrust/2012/11/15/microsofts-free-security-tools-microsoft-safety-scanner/
