USMT - migration of sticky notes from windows 7 to windows 10 1709 RRS feed

    is there a way to migrate sticky notes from windows 7 to windows 10 1709?

    I have tried most of the posted solution online but none of them works.

    The reason it does not even if you get the data file for Sticky, migrated, renamed and put in the right place, is because Sticky Notes on Win 10 isn't installed til after the user logs in.

    You CAN copy the Sticky notes file from %appdata%\Microsoft\Sticky Notes\StickyNotes.snt to

    %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftStickyNotes_8wekyb3d8bbw\LocalState\Legacy\ThresholdNotes.snt

    BUT if you already opened Sticky Notes, you need to go to "Apps and Feaures" and reset the Sticky Notes App.

    Then place/rename the old SNT file as mentioned above, place it as described and open Sticky Notes.

    It CAN be automated and in the latest USMTGUI, it is built this into an "afterburner"that automates this.
