Oracle query with same parameter used twice works on VS2010 but not on VS2017 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a SSRS report that uses Oracle 12 data source.  With Visual Studio 2010 using Oracle type data source, I was able to run a report query having the same parameter name more than once in the WHERE clause for example:

    SELECT ... FROM ... WHERE  ((rc.REGION_AREA = :Region) OR :Region = 'All') AND co.long_name = :Marketer

This does not seem to work anymore after I upgrade the solution onto VS2017 with ODBC or OLEDB type data source.  It gives this error:

SQL Execution Error.  .... Error Source: SQORA32.DLL

Error Message: Error [07001] [Oracle][ODBC][Ora]ORA-01008: not all variables bound

In my dataset Parameters , I have defined the two parameters (@Region was used twice):

    Parameter Name    Parameter Value

    Marketer                [@Marketer]

    Region                    [@Region]

Any idea how to fix this?  Thank you in advance.
