Kernel Power 41 Error RRS feed

  • Question

  • My homebuilt PC is 3 days old, everything went smoothly except for today.

    Mobo: z87extreme4
    PU: i5-4670k
    GPU: Gtx 760
    PSU: 600cxm

    I left my PC this day, it went into sleepmode, and when I returned and pushed the keyboard buttons, nothing happened.

    LED's were out, I didn't hear any hardware activity like fans etc. I checked the Event logs, and found that it was a critical Power Kernel error 41.

    Here the logs:

    - <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event">
    - <System>
      <Provider Name="Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power" Guid="{331C3B3A-2005-44C2-AC5E-77220C37D6B4}" />
      <TimeCreated SystemTime="2013-08-21T19:32:34.086408100Z" />
      <Correlation />
      <Execution ProcessID="4" ThreadID="8" />
      <Security UserID="S-1-5-18" />
    - <EventData>
      <Data Name="BugcheckCode">209</Data>
      <Data Name="BugcheckParameter1">0xfffff88004ebb638</Data>
      <Data Name="BugcheckParameter2">0x2</Data>
      <Data Name="BugcheckParameter3">0x8</Data>
      <Data Name="BugcheckParameter4">0xfffff88004ebb638</Data>
      <Data Name="SleepInProgress">true</Data>
      <Data Name="PowerButtonTimestamp">0</Data>

    What happened? Will this happen in the future? Is this concerning and will impair my future working with my PC (like random crashes, bluescreens...) ? How can I detect the causing problem? How to solve it?

    Please help me, I am pretty worried right now.
