Disable client push to servers

Question
-
Up to now we have been using the client-push installation method to deploy the SCCM client to new systems. Recently we were made aware that we need to remove the SCCM client from all of our servers. I have created a package to run the setup.exe /uninstall, but I am having some issues disabling the client push to our servers. In the Client Push Installation Properties, I have unchecked "Servers" from the system types (see attachment); however, the client has still installed on two new servers that were stood up as a test. Is this not the way to discontinue the client push to servers?

One way to be certain that the client never is installed using client push is to make sure that the service account used by client push don't have permissions on the servers.

Is it possible that the two servers holding any site systems?
You can exclude specific computers so that the client software is not automatically

No, the server was a brand new build. The client installed after it was joined to the domain. It doesn't have any SCCM components installed. The registry entry is a good fix, but I want to exclude all server operating systems; with several hundred servers, this would be pretty time consuming & adds an extra step to every server build.Tuesday, April 15, 2014 6:10 PM

From your question I understood that you have this issue only for two servers.
Does client push still happening on all servers after you uncheck servers option?

Check if you have any other client deployment configured in your environment like GPO, WSUS, logon script etc.
