Failed to build the project OLAP cubes with SQL server 2014 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi folks,

I met an error when building the cube on an SQL server 2014 Analysis services with Microsoft Project Server 2013 : Failed to connect to the Analysis services server  a connection cannot be made. ensure that the server is running.

Did anybody succeeded in using SQL server 2014 + SP1 to generate Project Server 2013 cubes ? What considérations must be taken ?

  • To keep you informed : We found the solution : we put the farmadmin account again in the local administrators group of the SharePoint Server and it worked.

  • Make sure ports are open.  It could be the AMO not loaded on front end and app not installed.

Please provide exact message from cube build.
