Adding Registry entry under HKEY_USERS\ for the current user RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

How can I add a registry entry under HKEY_USERS for the current user? I already have the registry entry imported from my account, but my problem is it won't work with other accounts because we have different SID for HKEY_USERS. Please help me on this.

  • You could setup a script using REG ADD then either place on a share somewhere for the users or deploy via SCCM

  • You might want to give a look to RemoteExec, an agentless software solution that will allow you to perform remote modifications of the registry on all Windows systems throughout the network, or of a specific subset of computers.
You just have to indicate the path to the .reg, select the target systems and launch with a click.

You will find detailed instructions in this "How-to": Perform registry modifications on multiple remote Windows systems
