Set admin user back to global location policy RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have what I think should be a simple issue but I just can't find the cmdlet I need. Our admin users were previously set to a user-level location policy. We need to switch them back to the global (default) location policy. We can't do this via the UI since the users are admin users, so I need the cmdlet to do it.

Grant-CSLocationPolicy seems like it would do the trick, but it won't take "Global" as the policy to grant (it is looking for a user policy). You can't run it without a policy specified. There's also no remove-CSLocationPolicy.

    Ideas?

  • Hi TrentG1,

I think if you set the policy to be $nul is uses the automatic settings, either global or sites bases policies.

So the command would be something like:

grant-cslocationpolicy -identity "admin user" -policyname $nul

    Cheers
