For October patches, will the Security Only Update contain .Net Security patches?

Question
-
As everyone knows, MS is changing server OS patching to a single patch rollup starting with October 2016.
In this article, they break down 4 different rollup patches that will be released:
https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/askpfeplat/2016/08/30/a-bit-about-the-windows-servicing-model/
We need to understand if Option 1 "Security Only Update - Collects all of the security patches for that month into a single update" will contain Option 3 ".Net Framework Security-Only Update" ?
Option 1 does use the word "all" referring to security patches, so if taken literally, it would seem to include Option 3.
But, the way they broke things into 4 rollups, it would seem logical that Option 3 was not a subset of Option 1, and you'd need to apply both if you wanted all general OS security updates and all .Net security updates.
This is an important distinction for all of the developers we support and we need a definitive answer ASAP.
Thank you!
Brian

I am also having the query, did you get the answer for this ? Security only Quality update included with .net Updates?
No official answer, no documentation. Come on Microsoft.
Based on internal testing we've done, it would APPEAR that they are separate and do not overlap.

See this article from the .NET engineering team:
Introducing the .NET Framework Monthly Rollup
"The .NET Framework Monthly Rollup is not for Windows 10 but for earlier versions of Windows, as described above. On Windows 10, these same .NET Framework security and reliability updates are included in Monthly Windows Updates, in both security and reliability and security-only flavors, similar to the .NET Framework Monthly Rollup."

No, that article deals with the .Net Monthly Rollup and the .Net Security Only update.
I am requesting details on whether the monthly "Security Update Only" published for the Operating System itself will incorporate .Net security patches, or if those two are completely separate and do not overlap. You need to read the Technet article I linked in my OP to understand how MS is supposedly breaking down the 4 patches. Does Option 1 contain Option 3?

Hi bxb,
I try to find a definite answer to your question, while it seem there are ambiguities with the statements. I rise the same question with you;
As far as I'm concerned, it says Monthly Rollup update includes all updates for the month;
Security-only rollup updates includes all security updates for the month;
It looks like Month rollup is the biggest update, security-only rollup is a branch of Monthly rollup, if someone only want to install security-only updates, they can install security-only updates instead of Monthly rollup. Same things for .net framework, Monthly rollup includes all updates for .net framework, security-only rollup includes all updates for security updates for .net, while if you only want to install updates for .net, you can install .net framework rollup; if you only need security update for .net, you may only install .net framework security-only update;
While above are my own understanding, just for your reference, if you want to get a definite answer, it's better to leave the question under the related blogs, hope the author of the blog could give your the answer.
Best Regards,
Anne

Hi Anne,
Yes, I would prefer to hear from the blog author as well. Do you know why, when I post a comment under his blog, my comment gets stuck? It has been showing:
"Your comment is awaiting moderation. "
....for several days. Yet other people have posted comments after mine successfully.
