Creating a shortcut that performs more than one action RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I am trying to create a shortcut, just like in the following two links...
    http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/18268/create-a-shortcut-to-put-your-windows-computer-into-hibernation/
    http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/quick-tip-create-shutdown-restart-lock-icons-in-windows-vista/

But, I want to put two actions into one shortcut. In particular, I want to lock and hibernate with one shortcut. How do I combine 2+ actions into a single shortcut?

    Thanks!

  • Hi,

You could create a batch file. Within it,  you can include any command, such as you can combine the two actions in it. But I have to say, why do you want to combine the lock and hibernate actions with one shortcut? I just think they cannot  coexist.

  • Hi,

I  don’t think this can be achieved,  if you want to combine actions, you could consider the script idea.
