Asus P4S8X-X Motherboard and Radeon X1300PRO Video Card RRS feed

  • I have an Asus P4S8X motherboard with a Radeon 9200SE Video Card installed.  I wish to update the Video Card to a Radeon X1300PRO.

    Can anyone tell me if the X1300PRO AGP is compatable with the Asus P4S8X motherboard please? 

    According to the motherboard manual the motherboard supports AGP 8X with bandwidth speed up to 2.12GB/s.  It supports only 1.5v, 1.6v and 1.7v power output to the AGP.

    The X1300PRO has a 3 Memory Interfaces 128-bit; 64-bit and 32-bit and a Memory Transfer Rate of 12.8 GB/s or 6.4 GB/s or 3.2 GB/s respectively.

    The system requirements for this card are AGP 4X (1.5v); 8X (0.8v) or Universal AGP 3.0 bus configuration (4X/8X).

    128-bit (8X), 64-bit (4X) 

    Will I be able to get the most out of the X1300PRO AGP?  Will I get 128-bit Memory Interface with a Memory Transfer Rate of 12.8GB/s or will I only get a 64-bit Memory Interface with 6.4 GB/s of Memory Transfer?

    My last question.  If the motherboard supports AGP 8X with a bandwith speed of up to 2.12GB/s, will I only get a 2.12GB/s Memory Transfer Rate not withstanding, that the X1300Pro is capable to have a transfer rate of 12.8GB/s?

    Can someone from Microsoft help me with this problem?
