Project Server 2010 under SharePoint 2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hola,

My company is migrating shortly from SharePoint 2010 to SP2013. We currently use Project Server 2010.

this may be obvious but based on my research on Project Server 2013 I couldn't find a direct answer to the following question:

Is it possible to install Project Server 2010 under SharePoint 2013 ?

Can you please confirm whether this is possible or it definitively these two components must be under the same version?

    Thank you in advance.

    Oscar

Answers

  • No, it is not possible. Project Server and SharePoint are tightly integrated.

Migration from Project Server 2010 to 2013 is pretty seamless though (much more so than 2003 to 2007 or 2007 to 2010) both in terms of the architecture and user scenarios. So if your organization is migrating to SharePoint 2013, you should consider using Project Server 2013.
