Windows 7 keeps pushing programs to the background? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Something that has not occurred in WinXP or Vista:

On Windows 7, certain programs will be "automatically" brought to the top of the screen layers after what appears to be a certain amount of activity in relation to programs that are coded to stay "on top". Specifically, I've seen this occur with an always-on-top classroom polling program and PowerPoint (2007 & 2010). After progressing through several slides, the polling program will be superceded by PPT's window. This seems to be a "fuzzy logic" feature of Win7 (bringing to the front what it thinks is the most important program to the user). Is there a way to turn this "feature" off?
