WMP11 1 Gb database limit and 120000 track limit RRS feed

    So WMP11 has a 1 Gb database limit and 120000 track limit

    Can anyone tell me if this is still the case for WMP12?

    Also, can anyone tell me if there is any way around the 120000 track limit in WMP11?

    WMP11 still accepts tracks, but it seems the querying limits results to 120000 records - hence the "song" view fails to work properly

    The only thing I've found to do is partially filter the song view (eg type a space) and then the ordering by artist etc will work

    Hi Carey,

    I know that thread very well because I was the main contributor (JIC = TPS - I couldn't get the TPS login to work at the time I posted here) - but it doesn't answer my question.

    I know WMP11 has these limits - but does WMP12 also have them?

    Or is there a way to get around the 120,000 track limit so the song view / filtering work properly?
