Differnet ServiceOfferings to different endusers? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

Is it possible to offer different ServiceOfferings(or request offerings) to endusers, depending on their usernames or groupmembership?

E.g. ITOperations have SO like deploy VMs and perform ActiveDirectory tasks, HumanResources have another set like update userinfo , Sales have another set, and so on.

if not, is it possible to customize the SelfServicePortalPage where to put SO/RO? (Im thinking of maybe creating an own SSP for differnt users instead)

    Thanks.

  • Hi

You must make group under Libary including your service requests and service offerings you want to access. Then you need to make a new User role based on end user role and give access to your group.

We have implemented this where we have service request for all user in the Generic Incident Request group and special service request added to other groups.

    It works

    Regards

  • Hi

    Hmm, not working.

First, I create a group under Library called 'SO for HR'. Then I made the HR ServiceOffering a member of that group.(default selection on all other fileds)

Then I created a User role, adding myself as a member, and added the 'SO for HR' to the role like this:

However, when I refreshed the SSP, I have still access to all ServiceOfferings

(Ive checked all other User Roles that my user is part of, do not have this CIgroup, above, checked)

    Any clues on what's wrong?
