DPM 2010 Service Terminating RRS feed

  • Question

  • On our dpm server jobs keep failing with errors like this "The DPM service terminated unexpectedly during completion of the job." Also when I try to login to the server to investigate I get the error "The system cannot log you on due to the following error: The RPC server is unavailable", until I restart the server.

There are several events in the event log that may help as well. Here they are:

  • Hi,

DPM is service is terminatng due to other problems with the operating system.  Suggest taking performance monitor logs remotely to see if you have an resource issues.  Disable any 3rd party services and monitor.
