Windows 10 - Using Windows 10 Enterprise with McAfee Antivirus RRS feed

  • Hi,

    1. Does anyody have any recommendations on how to use Windows 10 Security features within McAfee infrastructure to improve the level of security?
    2. Is there a way to utilize Windows Defender antivirus, AppLocker, etc alone or with other Microsoft Windows products, like, Microsoft SCOM in order to
      2.1. Alert about the missing McAfee Antivirus protection?
      2.2. Improve the antivirus protection in the network or replace some or whole McAfee functionality?

  • 1. Probably check with McAfee what best they can offer. As far from MS point of view I'm not aware of any MS recommendation with respect to McAfee. 

    2.1 Yes, can be configured.

    In addition to above post, as I know, Action Center will notify you if the Antivirus protection is turned off.

    There is no such combined product from Microsoft, you can configure App network blocker in Firewall, configure how app work by using Applocker.

    Also, you can also make full use of Defender built-in Windows to protect your Windows.
