App-V application creates second userprofile folder username.000 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey guys,

I have a sequenced application that creates a second userprofile folder named username.000 at startup.

    c:\Users\username.000\AppData\Local\Microsoft\AppV\Client\VFS\7B8CD63D-CD60-4DFE-9723-405A35ACDAEC\...

I expected the application to use "C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\AppV\Client\VFS\..." which exists as well.

I am on Windows 2016 RDS using UserProfileDisks.

Anyone here who knows why my app does not use the existing userprofile?

    Best regards,

    Andi

  • Little re-cap...

The application is Published to the user? (so all points to C:\Users\username\Appdata\....)
When starting the application a new folder is created under C:\Users\username.000\AppData\Local\Microsoft\...)?

    Which application did you sequence?
What files are created in the VFS under username.000?
Do you might have some hardcoded entries in the registry or config files in your App-V application to that profile?
