Add Video greyed out in Conference call RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Everyone,

I have a question I need help with. So our current configurations allows people to call into a Lync meeting by way of Cisco UC.

The problem we're having is if we start a conference and have the system call us by phone number (cisco UC) we are unable to add video to conference. we can share whiteboard and programs, no problem, just no video.

If we start a conference and use the lync (integrated audio and video) then I can start a video just fine. but we're trying to stay away form enterprise voice and just us the cisco for voice calls.

is this all by design or is something funky with my system? thanks in advanced.

  • If you are using CUCILync or RCC, then what are you are experiencing is expected behavior.  Lync cannot split the modalities (audio/video) to different endpoints.
