ServerManager crashes and servermanagercmd returns incomplete set of data on windows 2008 enterprise server

Question
-
I have an domain controller which also has a few other working roles - (dns/dhcp/iis), when I open servermanager, it runs for up to a minute, looking for roles and features, then crashes.
Running servermanagercmd -query returns
servermanagercmd -query
....----- Roles -----
----- Features -----[X] Windows Internal Database [Windows-Internal-DB]
[ ] WinRM IIS Extension.
So far I have tried http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winservermanager/thread/ae1a7f09-2f50-4521-9bae-283631963283/#page:2
and a few of the links from there - the DCOMConfiguration is correct,
In servermanager.log - It starts off

From the log, it looks like it can tell the roles are installed, but it doesn't display them. Also I can't add or remove a role.
Any help?

Hi Dave - Sorry I didn't mention it in the first post, yes I ran the System Update Readiness tool, and it found no issues.
