Trubleshooting Outlook Protection Rules? RRS feed

  • Hi all!

    I have configured Outlook Protection Rules on a Exchange 2013 server. The rules apply fine in Office 2010 on Windows 7, but I can't get them to work in Office 2013 on a Windows 8 client.

    I can manually apply the RMS Templates in Outlook 2013, so RMS in general seems ok. It is only the automatic Outlook Protection Rules that do not seem to work.

    Does anyone know how I can troubleshoot this? The documentation is sparse and only cover how to set it up, not how to troubleshoot.

    What folders, registry settings and logs should I look at?

    On a related side note: New OPR rules takes quite a long time to appear in Outlook 2010, but they do show up eventually. What is the schedule for Outlook Protection Rules download to the client and can it be manually triggered?
