Project Server 2007 : State field in Proposals and Activities RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

In the "Project Custom Fields" section of the "Summary Information" page of my proposals in 2007, I have several project custom fields that I built some time ago, but I don't find the built-in State field of Project Server 2007.

    What did I miss?

    Thanks

  • Hi There,

Please see the below article:Project proposals have a State field which has values as Proposed, approved & rejected.

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc197588(v=office.12).aspx

The Project State field can be modified only in Office Project Web Access or by using the Project Server Interface. The Project State field can be edited by users who have the appropriate category permissions to modify the proposals and have the Change Project State global permission. The Project State field is workflow-aware. To configure the Project State Field to use workflow

    1. Log on to Office Project Web Access as a user who is a member of the Administrators security group.

    2. In the menu on the left side of the home page, click Server Settings.

    3. On the Project Server Administration Web page, under the Operational Policies menu, click Additional Server Settings.

    4. On the Additional Server Settings Web page, in the Project State Field section, select Yes.

    Hope that helps.
