Latest Build Update: 1809 Installed April 20, 2019 Causes Performance, Mouse, Wife, Lockups required reboot RRS feed

  • Question

  • With the last update Windows 10 (Enterprise) Version: 1809, OS Build: 17763.437 installed on April 20, 2019, with the macine, eventually in time, after long idleness, i.e. over night, over 24 hours, either the mouse is locked, the WiFi is lost and cannot be renewed and a black screen is seen and it is locked up.  Seeing any of the symptoms requires an off/on switch restart.

Are there some known issues?   Should I revert to previous build?

  • Make sure you have updated all the related  drivers. Best option will be to visit the support sites of the manufacturer to download and install the compatible drivers.

You may also check the things by creating a new user account with the same privileges or booting to a safe mode.

You may also opt for a Clean Boot

  • Hi Hector,

After install major updates, please note update drivers at the same time.

Also clean boot to exclude the influence of software conflict, because some third-party software may not be compatible with the latest build of Windows 10.

Besides, there is a possibility that user profile meet trouble during updates, create a new one to check result.

    Run DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and sfc /scannow

If all above methods fail, you can roll back to previous version and wait for upcoming release 1903.
