The time changed last night and I have noticed that now all files on my external flash drive have different dates than those that are on my hard drive. As a result, my synchronization application believes that all files on the hard drive are newer than the ones on the flash drive.
As an experiment, I changed my time zone to an hour behind, and created a new file on the hard drive. I then set the time zone back which brought the hour back. The file access times were correct and showed that they were accessed only a few seconds ago.
I ran the same experiment on my flash drive, but I got a different result. I set the time zone to an hour behind, created a new file on the flash drive, and then reset the time zone back. Whenever I viewed the properties of the file on the flash drive, it showed that the access time was an entire hour off, instead of a few seconds.
Is there anyway to fix this issue? I currently have all updates installed.
