Windows 7 Explorer freezes from time to time when opening a file RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, I have a computer running windows 7 64 bit. When we are running our case management program (needles) and we go to open a case (pdf file) Windows explorer freezes. It's not happening all the time but it happening 2-4 times a week. I copied the event viewer log and it below. Any point in the right direction I would be thankful enough.

  • Hi,

Please check whether there's a dump under C:\Windows\MiniDump

Please download this reg file from this SkyDrive:

    http://cid-128fc518635be2dc.office.live.com/self.aspx/.Public/MS%20Foren/Registry/LocalDumps.reg

and make a double click on the file to import it.

When an application crashes, Windows Error Reporting Service will create a dmp file under C:\Localdumps. Please upload the dump to your public Skydrive folder and post the link here.

Please also check whether there's a dump under C:\Windows\MiniDump, if there is, upload it here.
