Windows vista explorer RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
I am able to drag and drop from one drive to another drive without opening another folder by using (windows + E) in windows XP.

But, in vista while I Explore the window to drag and drop, and when i open the drive the explorer i.e the splitter window goes out.

How can I drag and drop in vista with out opening another folder.

    Please provide me the settings.

    Thank you.

  • Hi

If I understand correctly, you want to drag a file from the 'right side' window to another folder that is located on another drive.

You should be able to move the mouse cursor over the file you will be copying, in the right side window, press and hold the left mouse button and drag the file over the drive where you want to drop the file.

Hover the file over that drive and the drive will automatically expand, showing all of the folders on that drive. Move the file down to the folder where you want to drop the file and release the mouse button.

    Hope this helps.
