  • Hi,

The MMC has a snap-in error out. On the one hand, there may be a problem with the WSUS configuration file of the MMC; on the other hand, it may be interrupted because WSUS does not complete certain actions due to performance restrictions. Consider the following steps to fix it:

    1. Clear WSUS local configuration for the snap-in.
Your user profile contains all MMC snap-in information and configuration in the following directory:
      C:\Users\#USERNAME#\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\MMC
Deleting the “wsus” file, reset the MMC snap-in, and then check if the WSUS console can be started normally.

    2. Consider checking that the following system services are running properly:
      -  Windows Internal Database (When WSUS use WID database)
      -  SQL Server (When WSUS use SQL database)
If the database service is not running, it will cause the console to fail to connect to the data.

Reply back with the results would be happy to help.

    Yic
