softgrid & win2k8 TS RRS feed

    hello all,

i just want to check if anyone has any information about the integration of Softgrid and windows 2008 TS.

if anyone has any docs about this, i would apprecaite if you can share it with me.

i am intrested in answering one question in particular. if users are connected to thier application through a TS server called TS1, and the server crached, can the users connect back to the same app and continue to work from the TS crached using another TS server called TS2.

i know that in standard TS topology this can not be done since sessions are being processed in the memory of the server, and when it crashed, the session will also be lost. however, some one from Microsoft insists that this can be done using softgrid, and i want to check if it is true or not.

    cheers

  • Hi Oscar,

    I would say no.

The Softgrid Package is streamed to the client. The client, in this case, is the Terminal Server. Therefore, when the Terminal Server crashes, the streamed application isn't available anymore.
