  • Are you using client push installation method ?

Did you check ccmsetup.log for more specific errors towards CCM? What is the commandline used for the installation?

What is the service pack level of this machine? Is it XP Sp3?

It seems to me this error is more related to operating system rather than CM.

  • 0x80004005 = "Access Denied".

Like Anoop asks, are you using client push installation?  If so, check the following remote connection mechanisms from the SCCM server to the client machine:

    1. Are you able to connect to C$ and ADMIN$ shares?

    2. Running WBEMTEST on the SCCM server, are you able to connect to \\remotemachinename\root\cimv2 namespace?

    Nick.

It looks to me as its more of a windows issue rather then ConfigMgr, you can get better support on this at Windows Client TechCenter

You ca give it try by following this link to resolve this issue http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.windowsxp.general/msg/0a6f103dd681cd27?hl=en&&pli=1

    Hope this will be helpful...
