Save Files in Outlook Public Folder RRS feed

  • Question

  • As I understand, public Outlook folders used to share information among several accounts.

Can I save XML files, or that sort of files, in the public folder, or only Outlook objects such as Tasks, Notes?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hi,

Public folders in Outlook give you a great place to collect, organize, and share information about particular topics or projects within an organization.

Generally, we can add mails, calendars, contacts, Notes, and tasks or task lists, posts to share information with people who have access to the folder.

If you want to save XML files, or that sort of files, in the public folder, we can create a Mail or Post item, then attach this files (XML file, Excel file or Documents) as attachments as a workaround.
