  • Hi, we are experiencing the same problem here.

    If we add the user to the computers "custodian" it resolves the issue. Also removing the user from the "primary user"-field on the computer works, which is strange.

    The user can add the asset if he is NOT the primary user OR if he IS the custodian. Very strange. But this does not affect all users, only some. We have not found the reason why yet. Setting all users to other user roles than End Users also works, including change initiator like "eplrs" did.

    If the asset is "other" it works all the time, so some type of permission error when including the asset (throung the active-x) to the incident seems to be the problem.

    We have SCSM 2010 SP1 CU2 version.

  • We (me and Joel) have also fixed this temporarily now by adding "Authenticated Users" to the Change Initiator user role while waiting for a proper fix.
