system interupts is eating up 40 -50% of cpu. need help RRS feed

  • system interupts is eating up 40 -50% of cpu. It started a couple of weeks ago.  I tried the windows trouble shooter that was no help. Tried updating the NVIDIA driver, that was no help either.  

    what can i do?

    make a xperf trace [1] to diagnostic the high CPU usage. Please upload the etl file to your SkyDrive [2] and post a link here.

    I'll take a look at it.

  • Please try booting in Clean Boot or Safe Mode to see if the same issue appears.

  • Hi becevit, can you tell me which program or image name takes so much CPU?

    Do you read before posting? He alredy told that the Systeminterrupts are the cause.

    the dxgkrnl.sys causes a high DPC usage . Which driver do you use for your NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GS ? Update the driver please.

  • hi, i just upgraded the driver like you said, it didn't help.  what else can it be?

  • are you using the driver directly from nVIDIA or from your PC creator?
