  • Question

  • Hi,

I have team member access in Project Server 2007, i tried to create a timesheet for a particular week.

If i click on "Click to create" option in My Timesheet page, nothing happens. It stays in the same page.

This is the issue occurs only for me.

Can anyone suggest me what could be the cause of this issue?

  • K.Gokulraj,

Were you able to create timesheet in the past?

  • In IE 9 , from Menu bar click on tools and select "compatibility view" , also you can add your URL under "compatibility view settings"

On the side note are able to create timesheet using IE8?

  • Hi,

I have added the url to "compatibility view settings', that doesn't work.

It happens only in my system, i tried creating timesheets in other system(which has IE9), it works.

I have asked others to login my system to create a timesheet using their credentials, it is not working.

It is an issue with my system.

Note: I can open already created timesheets but not able to create a new timesheet.

Can anyone tell me what could be the cause of this issue?

  • Hi,

To add to the above points, compatibility view is disabled for this site(PWA).

  • I am having a very similar problem.

Upon clicking Create Timesheet nothing happens. Using the dev tools it errors out on the JS call, however this does not happen on a coworkers machine that is also using IE9.

Thought maybe it was the profile: Had someone else login to this machine, same problem.

Thought maybe it was IE8: Installed IE8, same problem.

So, I can confidently say that it is NOT: the profile or IE9 by itself.

I am wondering if a recent update is causing this?

  • So if anyone stumbles upon this:

We are finding that if we uninstall the Project 2007 client, that it fixes the problem.

    Hope this helps someone else.

  • Hi,

I have team members rights, i don't have ms project in my system.

I have downgraded to IE8 from IE9, still doesn't work.

I can open the previously created timesheet but can't create a new timesheet.

  • We have the same problem.

But the opposite, when you uninstall Ms Project 2007, the "click to create" button doesn't work anymore.

Installing the Ms Project again fixes the problem.

But it is not normal that team members who only have to enter their actuals, that they need a ms project professional installation.

    We have installed:
"Project 2007 Web Access ActiveX (Microsoft)"
But this doesn't fix the problem.

Does anyone know what we are still missing?
